Overheard in my classroom as a couple of 6th graders were reminiscing about their days in elementary school:

“I hated that day. It was so awful.”

“Really? I had a great time.”

“I just drank root beer. I drank a lot of root beer. It made me sick.”

“I ate all the cheese.”
